1. Arrive Milan / Lake Lugano Tour begins: 6:00 PM, Grand Hotel Eden. A transfer is included from Milan’s Malpensa Airport to Grand Hotel Eden in Lugano. Your hotel is located along the enchanting shores of Lake Lugano. This Italian-style city boasts a waterfront promenade, stylish boutiques and outdoor cafés set along the lake; enjoy time at leisure to explore on your own. A private boat cruise takes you across Lake Como to Bellagio; its picturesque setting has made it a locale that has been sought after by visitors for centuries. After time to explore at your leisure, another private boat cruise takes you past elegant lakeside villas to Como, followed by a return to Lugano, where the evening is free to enjoy as you wish. Rail to Florence A high-speed rail journey across the plains of the historic Po River aboard Eurostar leads to Florence. Tuscany’s revered city of art, set in the pastoral Italian countryside, is renowned as the “birthplace of the Renaissance” for the architecture and art that flourished here between the 13th and 16th centuries. A lecture by an art historian provides a good introduction to landmark sites such as the magnificent bronze doors of the octagonal-shaped Baptistry. Visit one of the world’s most acclaimed art museums – Galleria dell’Accademia, Europe’s first art school and home to beloved works such as Michelangelo’s David. The afternoon ends with a walking tour through the historical center of Florence, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meals BLD   6. Treasures of Florence Reservations have been made at the Uffizi Gallery to view its works of art with a local guide; works collected by the Medicis were first displayed here in the 1580s, making the Uffizi the oldest art gallery in the world.
