Tauck's eastern Canada and Niagara Falls vacation explores four eastern Canadian cities with distinctly diverse cultural backgrounds – Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto – during stays at premier Fairmont hotels, each a historic landmark in itself, along with visits to Quebec's Montmorency Falls and Ontario's Niagara Falls. Special experiences include a cruise among the Thousand Islands of the St. Lawrence River; a close-up look at the thundering waters of Niagara Falls on a cruise aboard the Maid of the Mist; and a private candlelit tour of Ottawa's historic Laurier House, led by a resident "butler," for a glimpse inside the lives of two Canadian prime ministers of the past.

Enjoy lunch beside the falls, then continue on to the Beaupré shore and visit the Shrine of Ste. Anne de Beaupré and the famous basilica. Journey to the heart of French Canada, Quebec City, for a two-night stay at majestic Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. Sprawled atop sheer cliffs rising above the St. Lawrence River, Quebec City reflects an old-world charm and grace of another era with its provincial Parliament buildings, Porte St-Louis and cobbled streets. Take a sightseeing tour of the provincial capital, the hemisphere's only walled city north of Mexico. Among the best-preserved towns in North America, the historic district was designated as a National Historic Site due in part to its well-preserved houses built in the British Classical tradition of architecture; they date back to the period following the War of 1812 (1815 - 1859).
