Day 1: Arrive San Francisco
A transfer is included from San Francisco International Airport to Le Méridien San Francisco in the heart of the Financial District. Please join us for a welcome cocktail reception and dinner in the hotel.

Day 2: Explore San Francisco by Land & Sea
Explore eclectic San Francisco just about every possible way today – by cable car, catamaran, coach and more. Start off with a tour of bustling Fisherman’s Wharf and North Beach. Then it’s all aboard a catamaran for a private luncheon cruise on San Francisco Bay, serving up a taste of Boudin Bakery’s famous sourdough bread along with amazing views of Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Back on land, sightseeing continues with a look at Victorian San Francisco to view the city’s many Victorian, Italianate and Queen Anne-style architectural treasures, and a hands-on culinary experience with local chefs!

Day 3: Sights and Flavors of San Francisco
Join an epicurean concierge for an unprecedented culinary experience on a customized tour of the Ferry Terminal Building, featuring exclusive tastings and specialty talks. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Sonoma Valley Vineyards
Travel into the vineyard-covered landscapes of California’s wine country. Enjoy a privately guided tour and tasting at the Benziger Family Winery, with lunch in a wine cave, before arriving at your spa resort in Sonoma for a three-night stay. Join the hotel’s sommelier for a wine education class before dinner.

Day 5: Wine Train through Napa Valley

Day 6: Treasures of the Wine Country
Learn the art of wine blending at the Franciscan Winery, before teaming up in a friendly winemaking competition with your fellow Tauck guests. A guided visit to the Culinary Institute of America includes a special lunch with more wine and a creative approach to dessert! Join us for a farewell reception and dinner.

Day 7: Journey Home
Tour ends: San Francisco Int’l Airport at 10:00 AM. A transfer is included from The Lodge at Sonoma to San Francisco Int’l Airport (approx. 45 miles – allow two hours for check-in) or Le Méridien San Francisco where Tauck can arrange additional nights. Airport transfers are included for these bookings.
