Day 2: Pioneer days to Olympic venues in Salt Lake CityIn Salt Lake City, view the unique downtown architecture of Utah's capital city; visit This is the Place Monument, where Mormon pioneers decided to build the city in 1847, and facilities used during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. In your free afternoon, perhaps visit Temple Square highlighted by the impressive Salt Lake Temple, the world-famous Tabernacle or the Beehive House, or trace your genealogy at the Family History Library. Attend an interpretive lecture on the ecology of the Great Salt Lake Basin tonight.

Day 3: On the trail to Grand Teton National ParkThis most engaging of Wyoming and Yellowstone tours takes you along the edge of the Great Salt Lake, then north to Idaho, where you'll stop for a special pioneer lunch at the National Oregon / California Trail Center in Montpelier, featuring an interactive wagon train experience.
